Handmade objects and crafts had always intrigued me. My foray into that world was through a wise and talented neighbor friend who introduced me to shapes, color, and texture by means of hand weaving on a loom. In 1996, I found my calling when I began taking jewelry classes. It seemed all of my passions and curiosity came together in this medium. My lifelong fascination with body adornments — from the Navajo Indians to African tribal to pop culture culminated with heat and metal and my own creative expression. Currently, I share my days between my work for a creative agency and handcrafting jewelry to embellish the contemporary man and woman. When I am not in the studio, I cook for my family and friends, walk my dogs on the sand, work in the garden and read!
